Ed Gernon, the Executive Producer of the "Hiter: The Rise of Evil" miniseries was fired for making comments drawing parallels between 1930s Germany and the US today, according to this article. He's quoted as having said that people didn't oppose Bush's Iraq policy because they feared the consequences of dissent. The ironic twist? His employer fired him for having the wrong opinion. I guess he didn't fear the consequences of dissent enough...or maybe he didn't believe what he was saying.
