I've made good progress today in porting the IlohaBlog interface to the new architecture. The "new entry", "options", template editor, "appearance" and "users" pages are now running in the new architecture, and only a few pages remain. The blog monster class has grown to over 1400 lines, and will probably grow to 1600 lines or so before all features are implemented.
The nice thing about having one class is that virtually every single feature in IlohaBlog will be accessible through one class. I plan on documenting all member functions when I'm done, and this will allow other people to build software on top of the IlohaBlog object. Both the web interface as well as the XML-RPC interface will be built on top of this single common architecture.
The only real concern is performance. I haven't done any benchmarking, but there must be some perfomance degredation from having to compile a 40kb include and instantiating an object with several dozen member functions.
