Just got back from a spontaneous late-night trip downtown to see "The Incredibles". I just have to say, it definitely lives up to its name, as well as Pixar's history of excellence.

To be honest, I was somewhat skeptical going in, because it seemed to deviate from the traditional Pixar formula (i.e. cute and happy movies), and because nobody has ever done CG animation with human characters well. As it turns out, my skepticism was totally unwarranted.

Let me put it this way. They took the superhero movie/cartoon genre to a whole new level. It's funny, stunning, amazing and everything else you'd expect in a Pixar movie, plus more (like amazing digital hair... sigh).
