Following is the original Hippocratic Oath. Interestingly it expressly forbids abortion and euthanasia. This version was written thousands of years ago. There is also a modern version (1964), and debate over whether either is relevant today.

I swear by Apollo Physician and Asclepius and Hygieia and Panaceia and all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will fulfil according to my ability and judgment this oath and this covenant:
